Chronological history:

1835: Established engine works and iron foundry Georg Egestorff in Hanover
1836: Started production of steam engines and machine tools
1846: Commenced production of locomotives
1871: Established "Hannoversche Maschinenbau - Aktien-Gesellschaft"
1924: Began assembly-line production of small passenger vehicles
1924 - 1959: Produced passenger cars, tractors, crawler tractors and trucks
1952: “Rheinstahl-Union” took over Hanomag and was market leader with tractors and trucks
1959: Introduced the first Hanomag wheel loader (model B 70)
1970-71: Daimler Benz took over the truck business, Hanomag began developing compactors
1974: Massey Ferguson took over Hanomag and produced construction machines and compactors
1980: IBH acquired Hanomag
1984: "Hanomag Baumaschinen Produktion + Vertrieb GmbH" was established
1988: The enterprise became " Hanomag Aktiengesellschaft"
1989: Komatsu Ltd. acquired the stock majority of Hanomag AG
1991-92: Commenced production of Komatsu wheel loaders in Hanover
1995: The company name was changed to "Komatsu Hanomag Aktiengesellschaft", and became responsible for producing medium-size wheel loaders and compactors for the Komatsu group in Europe
1996: Completed the WA-3-range with the new WA270-3 wheel loader
1997: The entire wheel loader series WA-3 became even more attractive through further improvements, and received the suffix "Active”
1998: Introduced a completely new series of small wheel loaders, with the designation "Handy ", developed jointly by Komatsu and Komatsu Hanomag
1999: Launched a “PT"- version (“Parallel Tool carrier”) of selected models with a parallel linkage that facilitates a parallel lift of the boom
1999: Added improvements to the WA-3 wheel loader series, such the AMS operating mode selection system, and received the suffix “Active Plus "
2000: Launched new niche models for forestry, tunnel construction and other specialised applications
2000: Expanded the offering of standard equipment such as attachments
2000: Introduced a new series of compactors
2001: Expanded The 80 to 100 HP class with the parallel lift WA115PT-3
2001: Commenced production of the 5m2 class WA500-3 wheel loader
2001: Introduced a new Dash-5 generation of wheel loaders, beginning with the models WA470-5 and WA480-5
2002: More Dash-5 wheel loader models replaced the existing range
2002: Komatsu took over the shares of the minority shareholders, effectively acquiring 100% of the company’s shares. The legal form of the company was adapted to these new circumstances and converted into Komatsu Hanomag GmbH.
