HM250-2: A New Articulated Dump Truck from Komatsu

Komatsu Europe International announces the introduction of the HM250-2 articulated dump truck to the European market.

Launched in response to the rising demand for 25 tonnes ADTs, the new HM250-2 completes the company’s range of latest generation models, and will make Komatsu more competitive in this market segment.

Based on the proven concept of the HM300-2, the HM250-2 features top travel speed and manoeuvrability, further improved by a shorter front clearance. The forced oil cooled multiple-disc brake system – a Komatsu exclusive on ADTs in this range - is a guarantee of excellent braking power and component durability.

The powerful SAA6D125E-5 - ecot3 engine has a net horsepower of 232 kW / 311 HP and meets the EU Stage IIIA and EPA Tier III emission regulations. Optimised combustion timing and ignition - and a specially designed combustion chamber - reduce fuel consumption, NOx and particulates emissions, and noise levels.

First class comfort and safety on the HM250-2 are standard, as on all Komatsu machines. The ROPS/FOPS cab is wide and spacious, and provides excellent visibility. An air suspension seat, the hydro-pneumatic suspension and viscous cab mounts help maintain a comfortable, quiet and low-vibration working environment at all times. Operators can concentrate safely on the job with improved productivity.

The new HM250-2 always comes with KOMTRAX^TM, Komatsu’s exclusive satellite monitoring system. Once activated, KOMTRAX^TM  allows improved fleet management features, such as simple machine tracking, remote engine lock, travel alarms and fleet maps, as well as useful machine maintenance information, leading to proactive servicing and less machine downtime.
