Chronological history:

1963:	Mr G. Bettanin founded FAI S.p.A. in Noventa Vicentina (VI)
1973:	First in Europe to manufacture 4WD backhoe loader
1979:	FAI S.p.A. bought a new plant in Salara (RO) to manufacture skid-steer loaders
1984:	Expanded the product range with the introduction of new articulated backhoe loader models
1986:	FAI S.p.A. purchased a larger plant in Este (PD) and ceased production in Salara (RO)
1988:	FAI obtained the license from Komatsu to produce and sell mini excavators in Europe
1992:	Komatsu contributed to the FAI shareholder’s equity with its first 10% stake
1995:	FKI became the Komatsu distributor for the Italian market, and the international sales network integration commenced
1996:	Komatsu acquired100% of the FKI company, fully integrating it with the Komatsu group
2000:	Purchased property adjoining the factory, allowing significant expansion of the manufacturing facility’s surface area
2000:	FKI changed its name to Komatsu Utility Europe, reflecting its global status
2002:	Introduced the Dash-5 series of skid-steer loaders
